The new dog in the house is absolutely adorable, but she definitely took a hit at our saving account. It was then that I realized just how long we work to put a few extra dollars in the bank. Saving is hard, especially in this economy and it is only through the support of our parents that we've been able to make any progress at all. I compared it to a sandcastle in the ocean today when talking to Amanda and I think that's just about right. We build and build and build and then just hope that things last long enough for us to make the next step in life. Right now we're just trying to save up for a house. In searching for a good sandcastle image, I encountered this excellent analogy as well, if you're interested.
I know I originally started this blog to be a way of documenting the joys of our marriage just for myself, but now that I have a direction that this blog is going, I think I'm wiling to open it up and share a little. There's nothing special here except for my thoughts and my love for my wife. Marriage is tough, but I love it and it is something people really need to believe in, and maybe this blog will help someone to believe in marriage.
